Frequently asked questions

What is MEV-WEB?

MEV-WEB is the Revenu Québec system that replaces the old MEV devices in the restaurant sector. Meal sales are sent to Revenu Québec by recognized point-of-sale software, with no device. It has been mandatory since August 1, 2025.

Does this apply to every caterer?

No. The rule covers meals supplied for immediate consumption. Your accountant confirms; GT configures.

Do I need to buy a Colossale terminal?

No. The Colossale MEV module works within GT with no extra hardware. A physical POS remains an option for counter sales.

How much does it cost?

$200 per month, as an option on every plan. No setup fee.

What about my online sales?

Orders from your GT store are transmitted the same way, automatically.

Does GT replace my point-of-sale software?

No. GT is not a point-of-sale system recognized by Revenu Québec and does not replace your MEV-compatible POS software. GT integrates with Colossale POS, recognized by Revenu Québec, which transmits your sales.
